Cassandra & Matt’s sparkling modern winter wedding

23 May

Cassandra and Matt decided to tie the knot between Christmas and New Years, when the evenings are long and Ottawa glimmers with holiday lights and fresh snow. They always had wanted a winter wedding and the beauty and warmth that surrounded them that day was the perfect way to celebration their incredible love story (which gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it).

When planning a winter wedding, couples often romantically envision small snowflakes drifting from above creating a beautiful blanket of white softly covering the landscape. Well on December 29, 2012, the day Cassandra and Matt said “I do”, it snowed so much that it sadly prevented some guests from attending the wedding.

So this spring, with their vintage wedding film in-hand, the newlyweds decided to fly to New Brunswick and host an unveiling party to share the film with those guests who could not make it to their wedding. After their special private screening, Cassandra said their friends “felt comforted watching the film, as they felt that they got to live some of the experience along with us afterall. They were very grateful as were we of course.”
