Katie & Jon’s delicious wedding

12 Sep

Katie & Jon had planned to marry on New Year’s Eve. But due to an illness in the family they decided to move the date up to May. In six short weeks with the help of fabulous event planner Allison of Live Love Plan, Katie & Jon’s wedding came together beautifully with everything you’d hope for in a wedding: a sweet ceremony, thoughtful details, and a real party.

The day started off with the groom’s straight razor shave at a classic barber shop (fun!) which I knew had to be filmed in rich black and white. As Katie and her bridesmaids got ready, guests began to arrive at Juniper, a hip and cozy location known for its delicious cuisine. Both the ceremony and reception took place here and guests were really able to relax and enjoy the evening.

Of course there were some highlights including Jon surprising Katie with a New Year’s Eve themed photobooth and then as midnight approached guests joined Katie & Jon as everyone shared in an energetic countdown as the clock struck twelve. In the end it really felt like New Year’s in May.

Here’s a taste of Katie & Jon’s wedding, on vintage film….

I like the shave, it’s different, & a nice touch.
I never get tired of watching your weddings unfold…
    Well done!
