Springtime in Paris – the 10th Anniversary Snowflake Ball

28 Jun

The Snowflake Ball, one of Canada’s most prestigious and breathtakingly beautiful Charity Balls, celebrated a very special 10th Anniversary on April 28, 2012 at the Hilton Lac-Leamy, and we were so pleased to be invited to partner with this incredible event and capture the beauty of the evening.

The theme was “Springtime in Paris”, inspired by the gorgeous charm, splendidly warm days, and magical nights of April in Paris. Dedicated to raising much-needed funds and awareness, furthering research, and promoting education for the 3Cs – Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, and Colorectal Cancer, Ball proceeds benefit both the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) Inflammatory Bowel Disease Centre and Screen Colons Canada. The truly exceptional affair hosted 580 distinguished and high-profile guests from across Canada and from around the world. Glowing with elegance and French fairytale romance, the magical night featured spectacular entertainment and performances, delicious French cocktails, models in gorgeous “Springtime in Paris” couture courtesy of McCaffrey Haute Couture, a sumptuous and specially-created gourmet French dinner with wine (highlighted by Acadian Premium Caviar), Veuve Clicquot Champagne toast, exquisite fragrance table gifts courtesy of Paco Rabanne Parfums, lavish 10th Anniversary swag bags filled with fabulous gifts, the incomparable live and silent auctions of luxury and highly unique items and trips from around the world, Magnificent Late Night Dessert Buffet created and hosted by Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa (featuring delectable French desserts and an irresistible dessert crepe station), Maison de Thé tea bar hosted by DAVIDsTEA, and dancing the night away to one of Canada’s hottest dance bands – The South Beach Orchestra from Toronto.

Witness the Ball on vintage film here, made possible by the generous support of Kodak and Technicolor. Thank you for donating your products and services!
