Learn 16mm filmmaking with us gals!

20 Nov

Ever wanted to make a 16mm film? If so, the Independent Filmmakers Co-operative of Ottawa (IFCO) just annouced that it will be offering a four week course called “Picture Show Creation for Gals”.

I’ve been once again asked to teach the course and we will cover everything from themes and stories, pre-production planning, funding, cameras, framing, exposure, editing and promotion and distribution. The course is an amazing deal because the course fee ($255) also covers all the costs associated with making your very own film – equipment rentals, film stock & processing and post-production facility rentals! Plus, a few months afterwards, IFCO hosts a special public screening of all the films that are produced by women enrolled in the workshop – so your film already has a guaranteed premiere!

The course is scheduled to run on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm starting March 3rd, 2010. I like to keep the class intimate so space is very limited – please contact IFCO ASAP if you would like to register for this course.
